MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Vaddio is pleased to announce the newest member of their industry leading line of EZ Camera™ cabling solutions, Add-A-Cam™ PRO. Add-A-Cam PRO will be launched at InfoComm 2007 in Anaheim, California. Vaddio is located in booth #4050 where our complete line of cameras and camera control equipment will be on display.
EZ Camera PRO is a revolution in Category 5 cabling camera systems. Rather than using video baluns, EZ Camera PRO uses an active system, called high speed differential signaling (HSDS), which allows either high definition or standard definition video to be transmitted up to 500 feet with virtually no signal loss. Like all of the Vaddio line of EZ Camera systems, there are two parts: a Shoe device installed with the camera, along with a break out box installed at the equipment rack.
"High-end broadcast camera technology has made its way down to the professional camcorder market, from HD video to 20 power lenses to 3 CCDs, " states Rob Sheeley, president of Vaddio. "The Add-A-Cam PRO makes the integration of these broadcast quality camcorders into A/V projects easy and inexpensive."
Because power is transmitted over Cat. 5 from the 1-RU Quick-Connect PRO to the EZCamera PRO Shoe, there is no external power supply needed for the camera. Tally lights are integrated into the front and back of the Shoe as well. Through a Link port on Quick-Connect PRO, connection to any of the ProductionVIEW line of switchers and controllers is seamless. Using the optional Vaddio Pan/Tilt Head in conjunction with ProductionVIEW allows the user to set up to 12 preset pan/tilt positions, with zoom control through the joystick. Other features on the Add-A-Cam PRO include Genlock support for external switchers, and BNC connectors for both the component and composite video outputs.
